Teaching Experience
Throughout her varied career, Letizia has taught all age levels and all levels of Italian. She began her career at Sarah Lawrence College teaching advanced literature class and instructing new students on the basics of the Italian language. She also prepared students participating in the Sarah Lawrence Florence Program for a year studying in Italy. Letizia has taught at the high school level as well, both at the International School of Florence, in Italy, and Horace Mann School, in New York. At these schools, Letizia designed and taught courses that prepared her students for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Exams and the Advanced Placement (AP) Exams, respectively.
In addition to her larger classes, Letizia has also been teaching individual and small group tutoring sessions for most of her career. She relishes the ability to tailor each lesson to the individual needs and interests of each student. Letizia is currently tutoring middle school, college, and adult students, as well as teaching a ten week immersion course at La Piazza di Carolina (Scarsdale).
